Struck Governor Connally in the back

3rd  SHOT:
Struck the President in the head.

This was the conclusion of both the Secret Service and the FBI,

In testimony before the Warren commission on July 22, 1964, James Thomas Tague of Dallas stated that at the time of the Presidential motorcade, he was located near his car at the bridge abutment of the triple underpass.(328) Tague said that during the shots he felt something sting him on the cheek; after the shots, a policeman noticed that Tague had blood on his cheek.

Mrs. Virgie Baker (nee Rackley) testified before the Warren Commission of July 112, 1964. At that time, she stated that the object she believed to be a bullet hit the pavement in the street at the point of the Stemmons Freeway sigh on Elm Street.(316) She said it hit in the middle of the lane on the other side of the street, which would have been the left-hand lane going in the direction of the triple underpass.(317) At first Mrs. Baker said the bullet hit behind the President's car. Then she said she could not remember whether it hit to either side or behind the President's car.(318) Mrs. Baker said she was sure she saw the object hit before she heard the second shot.

On August 5, 1978, the committee received information from former Dallas policeman
Starvis Ellis that Ellis had also seen a missile hit the ground in the area of the motorcade at the time of the assassination. Ellis said he rode on a motorcycle alongside the first car in the motorcade, approximately 100 to 125 feet in front of the car carrying President Kennedy.(351) Ellis said that just as he started down the hill of Elm Street, he looked back toward President Kennedy's car and saw debris come up from the ground at a nearby curb.(352) Ellis thought it was a fragment grenade.

In a sheriff's department notarized statement dated November 22, 19963, Royce Skelton stated that he also saw a bullet hit the [*PAGE 21 FOLLOWS*] pavement in the left or middle lane, to the rear of the President's car

We saw the motorcade come around the corner and I heard something which I thought was fireworks. I saw something hit the pavement at the left rear of the car, then the car got in the right hand lane and I heard two more shots. I heard a woman said "Oh no" or something and grab a man inside the car. I then heard another shot and saw the bullet hit the pavement. The pavement was knocked to the south away from the car.

I  and Roy Shelton who works with me was standing on the Tripple Underpass bridge with a large group of people watching the Presidential Motorcade. I saw a Convertable automobile turn West on Elm off Houston Street. It had preceeded about halfway from Houston Street to the underpass when I heard what sounded like a shot a short second two were sharp reports. A man in the back seat slumped over and a woman in bright collored dress (Orange or Yellow) grabbed the man and yelled. One shot apparently hit the street past the car. I saw something which I thought was smoke or steam coming from a group of trsee north of Elm off the Railroad tracks. I did not see anyone on the tracks or in the trees. A large group of people concreated and a motorcycle officer dropped his motor and took off on foot to the car.

So the Warren Commission was in a bind, and forced back to the drawing board.

And the major problems where these:

          MORE THEN THREE SHOTS WOULD MEAN A CONSPIRACY.

Given the Zapruder film and the three spent shells found in the TSBD. The lone Assassin had only six to seven seconds at most to get off the shots.

The physical operation of the rifle would take approximately 2.30 seconds between Shots. Of course the first shot would start the clock. Remember this is only the physical Operation of the rifle, This does not including acquiring the target. (And The Three Shell Cassing found on the sixth floor of the Scool Book Depositary Building.)

And just when it looked like the Warren Commission might have to explore THE TRUTH, ARLIN SPECTER TO THE RESCUE!

So in order to come up with a plausible solution and keep all the shots coming from The TSBD. The warren Commission would have to stretch the imagination to it's limits...

If the first shot missed, the assassin perhaps missed in an effort to fire a hurried shot before the President passed under the oak tree, or possibly he fired as the President passed under the tree and the tree obstructed his view. The bullet might have struck a portion of the tree and been completely deflected. On the other hand, the greatest cause for doubt that the first shot missed is the improbability that the same marksman who twice hit a moving target would be so inaccurate on the first and closest of his shots as to miss completely, not only the target, but the large automobile.

Most witnesses recalled that the second and third shots were bunched together, although some believed that it was the first and second which were bunched. To the extent that reliance can be placed on recollection of witnesses as to the spacing of the shots, the testimony that the shots were not evenly spaced would militate against a second shot missing. Another factor arguing against the second shot missing is that the gunman would have been shooting at very near the minimum allowable time to have fired the three shots within 4.8 to 5.6 seconds, although it was entirely possible for him to have done so.
