First, Lets take a look at the ballistics testing that the Warren Commission would depend on to determine if a bullet of this type could do all of these thing and end up in this relatively pristine condition.

The Commissions ballistic experts would test fire bullets into the ribs of goat carcasses and into the wrists of human cadavers. 

The tests where conducted by the Army's Wound Ballistics experts at Edgewood Arsenal, Md. And as the Chef Consultant for the tests would say, "IN EVERY INSTANCE", This was the typical Results:

The nearly whole bullet found on Governor Connally's stretcher at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the TWO BULLET FRAGMENTS found in the front seat of the Presidential limousine were fired from the 6.5_millimeter Mannlicher_Carcano rifle found on the sixth floor of the Depository Building to the exclusion of all other weapons.

Now the Warren Commission defenders will claim that the bullet was slowed down when it passed through the President, And that these tests are worthless because you can't duplicate exactly what happen.
So Again they have found an excuse to ignore the obvious.

Of course this assumes that the bullet did in fact pass through the President first. And that the Single Bullet Theory is valid.

 
They also claim that the bullet was tumbling when it struck the Governor and this proves that the bullet passed through the president first.

The shape of the entrance wound was consistent with a missile striking in a slightly downward trajectory. It is Dr. Shaw's opinion that the wound was not caused by a tumbling bullet (an inference drawn, explicitly, from his belief that a tumbling bullet would not have had sufficient force to cause the remainder of the Governor's wounds)
